Erin, a fellow Coloradoan who blogs on Dinners, Dishes and Desserts is hosting an on-line bake sale to raise funds for the Colorado Disaster Relief fund. All of the proceeds will go to the Colorado Disaster Relief Fund c/o Red Cross to help with fire victims. Devastating wild fires have caused massive destruction in our home state, and you can help by bidding on some marvelous treats starting at 8 AM mountain time this Sunday, July 8. If you’ve never participated in a virtual bake sale before, take the opportunity to peek at this site. It’s fun. I’m already gearing up to bid on the Oatmeal M & M cookies that Liz who blogs on that skinny chick can bake is making.
Pop on over to Dinners, Dishes and Desserts to take a gander at the preview and support this good cause. We thank you.
I’m so glad you’re involved in this bake sale, too 🙂 I grew up in Ames and Kate grew up in DM. Then I was in Iowa City for 10 years…first for college, then I worked at the University Hospitals and Clinics while single and as a newlywed.
Bill has been talking about going to Aspen in the fall…maybe in 2013. We’ve been numerous times in the summer and I’ve been twice in the winter. It would be so fun to meet you if the plan comes to fruition. Since my oldest finally moved out and my youngest is going to college in the fall, we’re thinking of some fun trips we can take off season…
Have a wonderful weekend!
Oooh, boy, I should read before I post…LOL. Thanks so much for the extra publicity for this bake sale…you’re a gem.
Small world indeed…my dad was a physics professor at ISU for 40 years and my mom taught calligraphy in the Fine Arts dept. I read about your husband after posting…sending you my sincere condolences. xo
This is a great idea!
